We’re Sponsoring a Friends of Trees Planting March 13 on Thursday, March 11, 2010

Backyard Bird Shop is sponsoring a Neighborhood Trees planting event in the neighborhoods near our N.E. Fremont location. You're invited to volunteer to be a Friend of Trees by helping out at the March 13th planting in the Alameda and Irvington neighborhoods.

March is the last full month of plantings, with 10 more Saturday Neighborhood Trees plantings remaining.  There is still time to volunteer!  No pre-registration is required, but remember to wear weather appropriate clothing and sturdy shoes.

The planting in the Portland neighborhoods of Alameda and Irvington starts at 8:45 a.m. and goes to 1 p.m.  For additional info, contact Greg Tudor, Volunteer & Outreach Program Manager, 503-282-8846 ext. 12.
