Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden Bird Walk- MONDAY

Amidst the thousands of rhododendrons on the seven-acre Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, a jewel of a lake hosts wintering waterfowl. Take a free expert-guided bird walk with a naturalist, Elaine Murphy, to seek ducks, mergansers, herons, and kingfishers.

Stroll the pathways, and enjoy the tranquility of this scenic setting while you spy the waterfowl that winter on the spring-fed Crystal Springs Lake.

We’ll meet at the parking lot at 10:00 a.m.  The walk will last 2 – 3 hours.

Advance reservations are required—we limit the number of participants to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable and educational experience.  Some of our walks do fill up, so phone the Portland shop (503-445-2699, press 3) to reserve your spot as soon as you can!  Dress for the weather!  And, please, no pets!

*There is a $9 entrance fee ($8 for seniors); Community Access Program offers reduced fee if you qualify.
