Mason Bee Cocoon Cleaning & Storage Virtual Class

November 9 @ 6:15 pm - 8:00 pm

Thursday, November 9 AT 6:15 – 8:00 PM

Join Mark Fitzsimons as he takes you through the methods and steps of cocoon cleaning and storage, so you will be ready to host a healthy bee colony next spring.

Take notes while you watch or clean your own cocoons along with the class.

If you want to clean along with Mark, get set up ahead of time with your bees (mason bee tubes, reeds, or bee blocks that are designed to be opened for cleaning), a bowl of room temperature water, and cloth or paper towels. A soft bristle toothbrush may also be useful. Mark will teach you to sort the cocoons, separate them from debris and identify potential issues.

Other handy items to have-
